How AITA Consulting Supported Purdue Pharma's Workforce Needs Across Clinical, IT, and Professional Functions

Client Overview:

Purdue Pharma is a privately held pharmaceutical company headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. With operations spanning research, clinical development, and corporate functions, Purdue requires a workforce that is not only skilled but also compliant with the strict regulatory standards of the pharmaceutical industry. Staffing in this environment demands more than speed; it demands precision, discretion, and a deep understanding of highly specialized role requirements.

Project Overview:

Purdue Pharma engaged Magnit Global as their Managed Service Provider to manage and optimize their contingent workforce program. Magnit Global selected AITA Consulting Services as a sub-contractor to support staffing augmentation and temporary labor needs across four workforce categories: IT, Clinical/Scientific, Professional Services, and Non-IT roles. Our engagement operates fully within Magnit Global’s MSP framework, ensuring alignment with Purdue’s compliance requirements, workforce planning goals, and talent standards.

Business Problem & Objective:

Purdue Pharma operates in one of the most regulated industries in the world. Between clinical research, scientific operations, and corporate functions, the need to place the right people quickly and compliantly is non-negotiable. The challenge wasn’t just filling positions, it was delivering qualified talent across four distinct workforce categories while meeting the strict compliance standards within Magnit Global’s structured MSP program.

Our objectives were clear reduce time-to-fill, maintain candidate quality, meet program KPIs, and be the staffing partner that Purdue and Magnit Global could count on, every time.

Our Staffing Approach:

Placing talent in a pharmaceutical environment requires more than just matching resumes to job descriptions. We aligned specialized recruiters to each workforce category — IT, Clinical/Scientific, Professional Services, and Non-IT  ensuring every search was led by someone who understood the role deeply.

Roles filled across the engagement included:

  • IT — Developers, Systems Analysts, Infrastructure Specialists, and Project Managers

  • Clinical / Scientific — Research Associates, Data Managers, Regulatory Specialists, and Lab Professionals

  • Professional Services — Finance, Operations, Legal Support, and Administrative staff

  • Non-IT / Temporary Labor — Facilities, Operations Support, and General Administrative roles

Every candidate was run through our vetting process before being presented — qualified, compliant, and ready to contribute from day one.

Results:

What began in February 2020 amid one of the most disruptive periods in modern history has grown into a strong and lasting partnership. Through pandemic-driven uncertainty and shifting operational demands, we stayed consistent within the Magnit Global MSP program, delivering compliant placements across all four workforce categories. Our ability to source specialized clinical and scientific talent has been a standout value throughout, and the engagement continues to hold strong.
